Leather Welding Gaiters
Thick, heat-resistant split cowhide gives these leather welding gaiters the durability needed for welding, cutting and high-temperature metalwork. The tough leather resists abrasion, tearing and heat while shielding the top of the footwear and instep from sparks, welding slag and hot particles.
To hold up under repeated exposure to heat, the gaiters are stitched with high-strength Kevlar flame-resistant thread. Its resistance to heat, flame and tensile stress makes the seams less likely to burn through or break during prolonged welding work, strengthening the overall construction and extending service life.
Protection is further reinforced over the instep with a flexible aluminum insert. The insulating and heat-resistant properties of the aluminum add another layer of thermal protection to this key area.
Hook-and-loop closures make the gaiters quick to put on and remove and allow the fit to be adjusted for different footwear. This makes them suitable for most work shoes, safety shoes and work boots.
