Flame-Retardant Cotton Welding Protection

Our flame-retardant cotton is made from 11 oz washable cotton fabric treated with a flame-retardant solution. It offers a reliable performance for thermal protection as its flame-resistant properties remain effective after 50 washes. The breathable cotton fabric makes protective clothing more comfortable during extended wear and has a good durability without being unnecessarily heavy.

When exposed to heat or flame, the treated fabric forms a strong char layer that acts as a barrier and stops further burning. The fabric does not melt or form hot molten droplets under high temperatures. It also provides protection against sparks and spatter encountered during welding work. FR cotton is one of the most versatile material for welding protective clothing and other PPE because of its washable flame resistance and economical cost. It provides protection to workers without the weight and bulk of heavier materials.
