Flame-Retardant Welding Hood
Our flame-retardant welding hood is made from washable FR cotton fabric and stitched with flame-resistant thread. The treated fabric is self-extinguishing when the flame source is removed and does not melt or form hot droplets. Its flame-resistant performance also remains effective after washing, which makes the hood suitable for welding work with frequent exposure to sparks, such as arc welding and MIG/MAG welding.
Its full-coverage design protects the top of the head, cheeks and neck against sparks, welding spatter and arc exposure during welding. An elasticated back adapts to different head sizes. It can be worn underneath welding helmets and industrial safety helmets for additional coverage. The breathable mesh lining improves airflow inside the hood with flat seams that keep the inner surface smoother and more comfortable against the head during longer periods of work. A flat hook-and-loop closure provides easy adjustment without adding a metal fastener around the head. This is particularly practical for welding because metal hardware can quickly conduct heat if struck by hot sparks or spatter. Due to its flatter surface, the sparks and debris get fewer raised areas to catch on. The welding hood is certified to EN ISO 11611:2015 for protective clothing used in welding and related processes.
Care: Wash normally without bleach. Air dry in the shade and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight.
