Welding Blanket

The fiberglass welding blanket is made from fiberglass and high-silica heat-resistant materials for welding, cutting and other hot-work applications. Its heat resistance, flame retardancy, thermal insulation and oxidation resistance help protect personnel, equipment and the surrounding work area during arc welding, gas cutting and similar operations.

The fiberglass used in the welding blanket is produced by drawing molten glass into fine fibers at high temperature. Because it contains no combustible organic material, it does not melt, support combustion or release toxic gases under high-temperature conditions.

Features
  • The main body of the welding blanket is made from high-silica fiberglass fabric, offering high-temperature resistance, high strength, electrical insulation and good chemical stability. It maintains its structural stability under heat while blocking welding slag, molten material and radiant heat.
  • High-strength Kevlar flame-resistant thread reinforces the edges, improving tensile and abrasion resistance while helping prevent fraying and cracking during prolonged use.
  • With a working temperature of 1000°C and short-term resistance to approximately 1680°C, the welding blanket withstands brief high-temperature spatter from welding and gas cutting, helping reduce heat transfer and the spread of sparks.
  • Rust-resistant brass grommets provide secure points for hanging, fastening and joining blankets together, allowing fire-resistant barriers or temporary protective areas to be set up as required.
